The images are digital collages (archive quality) that graphically represent the lives of the chosen individuals who were born in the town over the past century. The participants were chosen to represent a particular decade over the past century.

As social documentation it is an accessible record of the human face of Eastbourne and residents of all ages and backgrounds are featured.

Each piece includes the participants name and date of birth, typographic representation of dates, times and places from their lives.

This collection was made possible with a grant from The Scarman Trust. Thanks to Mary Carruthers from The Scarman Trust, Sophie Mason from Artwatch, Fran Stovold from Eastbourne Borough Council, The Eastbourne Heritage Centre and all the participants and their families.
